Terms of Service
Updated 14 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Challenger One SRL for RYDR. Using RYDR means accepting them. RYDR is indoor-cycling software under active development, so please read section 8, on health and safety, even if you skip the rest.
1Who we are, and what this covers
Challenger One SRL (company no. 0769.270.178, VAT BE0769270178), Rue Marc Brison 25, 1300 Limal, Belgium. Support: support@rydr.gg.
These terms govern rydr.gg (the public site), play.rydr.gg (the RYDR web app, including the phone controller), and the RYDR app for iOS and Android, including the games inside RYDR and any sub-domain or feature we add later. "You" means anyone using RYDR, with or without an account.
If we ever publish these terms in another language, the English version is the authoritative one.
2Who can join
In the RYDR app for iPhone and iPad, anyone can create an account. On the web and on Android, creating an account currently needs a valid invite code, and invite codes are for the person they were given to. We may withdraw or limit access at any time.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read these terms and agree to them for you, and by creating an account you confirm they have: they are agreeing to them too, and are responsible for your use of RYDR. One account per person.
3Your account
Your account is tied to your email address, and signing in means receiving a code at that address. Keep access to it: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, and we cannot move an account to a mailbox you can no longer reach. Tell us at support@rydr.gg if you think someone else is using your account.
Keep your profile figures honest. Weight, height and FTP feed the physics the games run on, so wrong numbers make your own results meaningless before they make anyone else's.
4What it costs
RYDR is currently free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no payment method on file.
If we introduce paid plans we will say so at least 30 days before they start, and nothing you already have will start costing money without your agreement. Anything bought through Apple or Google would also be subject to that store's own billing and refund rules.
5Fair play
Leaderboards are the product. Nothing else in these terms matters as much as this:
- Ride your own rides. Do not submit power, cadence or heart rate data that a person did not produce on the bike at that moment.
- Do not modify, replay or inject the data stream between your equipment and RYDR, and do not automate play.
- Do not misstate your profile figures to game the physics.
- Do not use another rider's account, or hold accounts you use to feed results to another.
Where a result looks manufactured we may remove it, reset a leaderboard, or suspend the account behind it. We will tell you why and you can reply, but the call is ours, because a leaderboard nobody believes is worth nothing.
6Your rides, and what becomes visible
Your ride data is yours. By setting a record you allow us to show that result, with your display name and avatar, to other RYDR riders in the feed and on the leaderboards, for as long as it stands. That permission ends when you delete your account. Nothing else about your riding is shown to anyone else (see the Privacy Policy.
Your profile picture is served from a public URL, so treat it as public. Keep your display name and picture to something you are entitled to use and would be happy for another rider to see; we may remove either if it is unlawful, misleading or abusive.
If you believe something on RYDR infringes your rights, write to support@rydr.gg with what it is, where it appears and why you hold the rights. We will look at it, and remove what should be removed.
7Connected services
You can link a Strava account. Doing so authorises us to send each finished ride to Strava on your behalf and to show your Strava athlete name to you in RYDR. Your Strava profile picture is used as your RYDR avatar only if you choose "Use Strava photo", and it is removed when you unlink Strava. Strava is not our service: their terms and privacy policy apply to what happens there, and you can unlink at any time on your profile page. RYDR is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Strava.
8Health and safety
RYDR IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND GIVES NO MEDICAL ADVICE. The power, heart rate, level and trend figures it shows are estimates from consumer equipment and must not be used to make health decisions.
Indoor cycling at intensity carries real risk. Talk to a doctor before you start, especially if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury, or have not trained in a while. Stop immediately if you feel chest pain, dizziness, faintness or unusual breathlessness. A game in progress is not a reason to continue.
RYDR can change the resistance of a smart trainer while you ride, including in the middle of an effort. Use a gear you can actually turn, keep the area around the bike clear, and make sure the bike and trainer are correctly assembled and maintained. You ride at your own risk.
Riders under 18 should use RYDR with an adult present, on equipment set up for them. The games make no allowance for age or size: the same effort is asked of whoever is on the bike.
9Equipment, games and app stores
RYDR connects to trainers, heart rate monitors and controllers made by other companies. We do not make that hardware and we do not control it: follow its manufacturer's instructions and safety warnings, and expect that some devices will work better than others. A device that misreports what you did is not something we can correct for you.
If you installed the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply to the download. Apple and Google are not parties to this agreement, have no responsibility for RYDR, and provide no support for it.
10Active development, availability and updates
RYDR is under active development. Features will change or disappear, and data (including ride history and leaderboard positions) may be lost or reset while we build it. Please do not treat RYDR as the only record of your training.
Availability is best effort and we promise no uptime. Where maintenance is foreseeable we will announce it in advance and keep it short.
The app updates itself, and a version too old to work with the current season will refuse to run until you update it. Keeping it up to date is part of using it.
11What you may not do
- Break the law with RYDR, or use it to harass, impersonate or abuse anyone.
- Try to reach accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or probe our infrastructure without written permission.
- Copy, resell or redistribute RYDR, or reverse engineer it beyond what the law expressly allows.
- Scrape, bulk-export or republish other riders' results, or hit our services at a rate a person could not.
- Upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to upload.
12Enforcement
Depending on what happened we may remove content or a result, limit a feature, suspend an account, or close it. We aim to match the response to the conduct, and to tell you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to us at support@rydr.gg and a person will look at it again.
13Our rights in RYDR
RYDR, its name, its games and its content belong to Challenger One SRL or its licensors. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you control, for your own non-commercial riding. Nothing else is granted, and the trademarks of trainer and sensor manufacturers named in the app belong to them.
14Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time: delete the app, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other riders or the service at risk, or where we stop running RYDR. Where it is our decision and not urgent, we will give you notice and a chance to respond.
When an account closes, its access and its records go with it, and we delete the data within 90 days as the Privacy Policy describes.
15Export controls and sanctions
By using RYDR you confirm that you are not located in, or ordinarily resident of, a country or region under comprehensive EU, UK or US sanctions, and that you are not on a sanctions list. We may refuse or withdraw access where we must to comply with those laws.
16Disclaimers
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, RYDR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not promise that its measurements are accurate.
17Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at what you have paid us in the preceding 12 months, which, while RYDR is free, is zero. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost leaderboard standing.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any right you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
18Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because of something you uploaded unlawfully, or because you broke these terms (cheating, scraping, intrusion), you agree to cover the cost of that claim. This applies only to those cases, only if we tell you promptly, and only if we let you take part in the defence.
19Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by things we cannot reasonably control: outages at our cloud or network providers, app store failures, denial-of-service attacks, power cuts, changes in law, industrial action, war, civil unrest, natural disaster or epidemic. While such an event lasts our affected obligations are suspended, and we will do what we reasonably can to limit the effect and keep you informed. Your mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
20Changes to these terms
Minor changes take effect when we publish them, and the date at the top moves. Material changes take effect no earlier than 15 days after we tell you, by email or in the app. Continuing to use RYDR after that means accepting them; if you would rather not, delete your account before the date.
21Law, disputes and mediation
These terms are governed by the law of Belgium. The courts of Brussels have non-exclusive jurisdiction: if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim before your own local courts.
Talk to us first at support@rydr.gg; almost everything is faster to fix that way. We are also willing to use voluntary mediation through a recognised consumer ADR body, and consumers in the EU may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
22The small print that still matters
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a group company or an acquirer, without reducing your consumer rights.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about RYDR, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
- Severability. If a provision is invalid, it is treated as deleted to the extent necessary and the rest stands.
- No waiver. Not enforcing something once does not mean giving it up.
- Survival. Sections on intellectual property, fair play, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law survive the end of this agreement.
